Donkey Kong Jungle Climber is the sequel to Doney Kong: King of Swing. The story is: The Kremlings have stolen a magic banana, and DK and his new friend have to stop him from using to power for his rule!

--------------GAMEPLAY--------------

The gameplay is quite simple. Basically, all you do is swing from pegs, platform, and make your way to the end. The game is sometimes easy, but also ripping-your-hair-out hard. Solving the levels' puzzles and finishing the game is one thing, but getting all the bonuses is another. You can search through levels, finding giant DK coins, enabling you to use cool cheats. Or, you can unlock hidden levels. The controls are simple, not a problem with it at all.

--------------GRAPHICS--------------

The games graphics are outstanding. Even for a 2-D game, the graphics are perfect. Everything looks like it should be. The lava animation is fluent, with a cool 3-D like effect. The cutscene graphics are detailed, and the game and GFX work together.

--------------SOUNDS--------------

The game's sounds are just awesome. The sounds sound great, the music is a great bonus. It goes well with the theme, and the SFX go with the actions. Not really much else to say, hear it for yourself!

--------------REPLAY VALUE--------------

The replay value is very great. You can keep on torturing yourself trying to figure out the challenge levels, or you can try finding KONG and every single coin. You can also play the unlockable mini-games, and try to get a AAA score on them, and unlocking them all. You can also mess around a bit with the cheats, which can be quite usefull. You can even link with other players for a single-card match, racing in Barrel Boosters, climbing races, and more!

--------------RENT OR BUY?--------------

A definate buy. If you are a fan of these types of games, I recommend you try this!

Good review but I don't have a DS

And emulators suck. :(

The game is really awesome. You use stuff like L and R to swing and A too attack. You also get to use hammers and flying wings and other special powers. And the mini-games are just awesome. Diddy makes a good human shield though. It got a 4 out of 5 on X-Play.

Does it differ from the GBA one?

Yeah. The controls are loads better and it has a bunch of cool new features and stuff.

Can't say anything about the 2P mode yet, I haven't played it.
